Railway firms want this year's Railway Budget to continue its proposed network expansion and modernisation to match surging passenger and freight volumes.Indian Railways, with a network of 63,332 kilometres, is the 2nd largest in the world and moves about 16 million people and 2 million tonnes of cargo each day.
